However, regardless of which method you choose, the actual period of "entering the cycle", which is the few weeks when ovulation injections are administered and eggs are ready to be retrieved, is actually about 3-4 weeks. The remaining time is mostly spent on preliminary screening and matching.

First, ask yourself: Do you want to "start right away" or "wait for someone to choose"? We have two routes to take at my Asian donors:

Frozen egg donation: You don't need to wait for someone to select you. Once the information is approved, you can directly enter the screening process. After egg retrieval, the eggs will be frozen in an egg bank for future use by families in need.

The entire process usually takes 8-12 weeks to complete.

One pair will definitely donate eggs: You will be matched with one pair of parents, and all eggs will be donated only to them. This approach is more personalized, but it also means that you need to wait for selection before starting the physical examination screening. The entire process usually takes 3-5 months.

Egg donation process schedule: At my Asian donors, the egg donation process is roughly divided into the following stages, each with its own rhythm.

Step 1: Matching (0 days or uncertain) Frozen egg donation: No matching required, screening will begin immediately upon approval. One on one egg donation: upload information to the database and wait for expectant parents to choose you. Some girls are selected within a week, while others may have to wait for a month or two. It's hard to say, but our matching speed is considered very fast in the industry. (Many families will browse our database every day to find their "ideal egg donor".)

Step 2: Screening and evaluation (approximately 2-3 months) This is a rigorous stage, but it is also what we value the most. We hope to ensure your physical health and also hope that you are mentally prepared and willing to make this contribution.

You will experience these contents:

Draw blood for hormone level testing, infectious disease screening, negative ultrasound observation of ovarian status. Talk to a psychologist to ensure that your understanding and psychological state of egg donation are stable. Talk to a lawyer to understand your rights and obligations. Frozen egg donors: Once approved, these processes can begin. One on one egg donors: You have to wait for your prospective parents to choose you before entering the screening process

Step 3: Enter the cycle (3-4 weeks). At this stage, you will receive ovulation injections for about 12-14 days and also need to take contraceptive pills 7-10 days in advance to synchronize the cycle. The approximate daily itinerary is:

Go to the clinic to draw blood and have an ultrasound to see how the follicles are growing. The doctor will adjust the dosage of the injection according to the condition of the follicles, and finally inject a "trigger shot". The schedule for this period is relatively tight, and it is recommended to coordinate the time in advance 32-36 hours before egg retrieval.

Step 4: Egg retrieval surgery (only one day) Don't worry, egg retrieval is an outpatient surgery that only takes about 30 minutes and is performed under anesthesia. The process is painless.

You'd better take a day off that day and go home to rest well. Most girls recover quickly and can resume work and classes as usual the next day.
